Even in
his early years, Claus Feldmann was drawn to the
fascinating world of photography. At age 17, he took his
first architectural
photographs and by the time he began his career in the
photographic and advertising industries, he had
undergone extensive training in letterpress, rotogravure
and offset printing.
This
expertise was extremely helpful in deepening the
understanding necessary to manage the versatile
challenges that face a creative photographer. Claus
Feldmann’s photographs
are photo-graphic, emphasized by his ability to capture
the essence of any subject.
After a
successful career in Germany as an advertising and
marketing executive, Claus
moved his family to the United States in 1977 where he established
a business as a
freelance
photographer.
Over the years, he has worked with a diverse collection of business-to-business
and consumer organizations including Mitsubishi, Schott Glass,
American Olean Tile, Weiler Brush Company, Honeywell,
BASF, Cosmo Optics, Quality Quartz, Instrument
Specialties/Laird Technologies and Lotepro, just to
name a few.
As his nationwide assignments brought him in touch with the
extraordinary and characteristic
beauty of the American landscape, he found himself
entranced by the color, textures and drama of the
incomparable Southwest. Born of a passing familiarity,
Claus' passion for the region deepened over time. Today,
he celebrates that enthusiasm each year during his
travels and every day in the art that he shares with the
world. |
